Pixlli Resource Pack 1.20 / 1.19

The Pixlli resource pack is an incredible work of art that breathes new life into Minecraft by refining its textures. Illystray, the creator of the Pixlli resource pack, might have made one of the best resource packs to date. While everyone’s preferences vary, and deciding what the “best” resource pack is will be incredibly subjective, it’s our opinion that this is one of the highest-quality texture packs out there. You’ll know exactly what you mean when you see it in action. Most resource packs aim to alter the preexisting textures and improve upon them, but this isn’t the case for Pixlli. Illystray completely scraps the core of Minecraft’s visuals and makes them brand new. This extra attention to detail makes the Pixlli resource pack stunning and wholly unique. It somehow captures the beauty and awe-inspiring details that most AAA games invoke, yet it still keeps the essence of Minecraft’s original textures. It does this by drawing inspiration from Minecraft’s aesthetics while adding enough details to make it something entirely new. You can look at screenshots, but we strongly recommend giving this pack a try since an experience like this should be done in the first person to get the full effect. The Pixlli texture pack sets itself apart from other texture packs by rebuilding everything in the game. It changes every single item and block, ensuring that your world will match cohesively regardless of where you are or what blocks you’re using. Some packs don’t offer this level of work, which can make for a very disjointed experience since many blocks or items now no longer match the world they’re in. It also takes advantage of POM/PBR, which stands for Parallax occlusion mapping, to make everything appear hyper-realistic. This system causes the blocks to look 3D, which helps immerse the player. This is especially noticeable when you encounter foliage, which has more depth than ever before. Pixlli also uses specular and bump maps that make the textures look so real you can easily imagine touching them, especially when combined with the shader functions. Finally, the textures can alternate and connect, eliminating the tiled appearance that other texture packs often create.

You’ll need to install Optifine to experience everything Pixlli offers, and this pack only works on Minecraft’s Java edition. Illystray’s texture pack is available for download on Boosty, a lesser-known alternative to Patreon. The 128x resolution version of Pixlli is free, with all the features, updates, and styles as their high-resolution option. However, if you’re willing to pay, you can download the high-resolution version of Pixlli. It’s similar to the free version, only higher resolution. Considering the prices start at $1, you’re practically getting it for free anyways, plus you’re supporting the creator! It’s recommended that you download the 128x version and try it to get a feel for the resource pack, then buy the high-resolution option if you like what you see. Remember that the upgraded version is much more resource heavy and will require a high-end PC to run properly, so you might want to stick with the 128x resolution option to avoid FPS issues and prevent your game from crashing. Illstray recommends using Kappa Shaders with their Pixlli resource pack since it wasn’t built to function on its own. If your device can’t handle shaders as intense as that, you can combine the texture pack with a different one. The downside is that Pixlli wasn’t made to be used without shaders, meaning several textures won’t look complete when it runs by itself. These include sand, snow, water, and some other things. To wrap everything up, the Pixlli resource pack delivers everything it promises and more. It goes above and beyond to rebuild Minecraft’s visuals from the ground up. It harkens back to Faithful, a well-known and beloved pack that’s been a part of the Minecraft community for a very long time. They both take the simple textures from vanilla Minecraft and enhance them. The high resolution is supported by POM/PBR, which makes everything incredibly realistic. Despite all the advancements, the improved textures stay true to Minecraft’s original aesthetics and vibe. The concept is elegantly executed and will appeal broadly to all sorts of Minecrafters. All that’s left now is for you to download the Pixlli resource pack, install it, and enjoy your enhanced game.

  2. 小白

Good but there are a lot of things that haven’t been made I hope you will or I will add

  3. Hopplar26

(1.20.2) This pack looks fantastic. The normal mapped vanilla textures really make Minecraft feel new again, and Kappa shaders really takes it to the next level. Some textures are not working correctly, namely the chest and possibly others I haven’t seen yet.

  4. DeathBySnooSnoo

Just installed it. Regular and Optifine it just looks like vanilla minecraft. No mods.

    1. Admin

      You need shaders.

  5. EhMehSmeh

It doesn’t seem to be working on some blocks. Some I’ve seen so far is podzal and coarse dirt.

  6. toto genik

    Not bad

  7. Schnipps

For Astralex options, you also should
Apply Parallac Occlusion Mapping – This allows 3D settings.
Parallax Depth – At least 20cm
