AstraLex shader pack has been developed primarily for content makers. Visual detailing and attractive lights enable high-level video creation for Minecraft. You will never find such features suitable for providing users with an atmosphere of movie-quality videos and new graphic elements. It is a useful upgrade from the BSL shader to catapult you to a much higher level. It is important to note here that this resource pack is fully complementary. It is a Java-based shader pack of Minecraft designed on BSL Shaders of CaptTatsu. It is an excellent tool for Minecraft content creators looking forwards to a cinematic experience. You can enjoy it yourself on your favorite server or with all sorts of audiences. Apart from HDR, you get a cinematic feel due to blur and field depth tweaks. Although some of these graphic upgrades may not be apt for default gaming or survival, it is a perfect toolset for building scenes and creating exciting content. If you want the shaders to work without hiccups, please ensure that you have the Optifine edition of at least 1.18.x because this pack works properly only on this or older versions. Once the required Optifine version is installed, you can use these shaders in Minecraft without any difficulty.

does it work in fibric ?

  2. Tacticx

I have a really good computer(dont remember the exact specs), but i still get 0/1 FPS, and even drops the overall performance on my PC even outside of minecraft, any ideas as to what i can do?

    1. Admin

If your PC performance drops even when Minecraft is not running, it is a problem with your PC hardware or some software that is consuming your resources. Shaders are resource intensive for sure, but only if they are installed and loaded into the Minecraft world. Once installed, shaders become part of Minecraft (like any mod or resource pack), they don’t affect your PC’s performance when Minecraft is closed.

      1. Tacticx

The performance drop was with minecraft still running, most it was doing was making typing take a couple seconds to update to what i typed, and some issues loading things, but the part that concerned me about that was i checked task manager yet nothing ever seemed to be above 50% usage, despite minecraft running with a pretty tanky shader, which makes the terrible framerate even more confusing to me.
Yes i am aware i am using a laptop, but is an alienware with some pretty good specs and an 3070, and my old shitty pc, about $800 could(while very much struggling) run some form of shaders with more then 1 fps
        Still got any ideas?
And yes i lowered the absolute hell out of the effects the shaders had, still never got it higher then 4 fps

        1. Admin

We can’t help you much as there can be many, many issues with your computer or Minecraft installation. We suggest you try uninstalling the last “things” you have installed in Minecraft one by one, restart and start the world. Remove only one mod or pack at a time, reload and run the world and see if it lags. If so, uninstall the next mod or pack and do so until you find the mod/pack that is causing the lag.

P.S. 0/1 fps is really terrible for a 3070 unless you have 4GB of RAM and a bad CPU (yes, RAM is very important for Minecraft to play at a stable fps).

      2. toby

why can’t I download the safer pack

        1. Admin

What does a “safer pack” mean? There is one single link to this shader pack that will work for Minecraft 1.16.x and above (not sure about versions older than 1.16.x, but it should work too).

  3. limp

How to you turn of motion blur

  4. Chillman

Does anyone know if I should switch to a newer version. I’m on one from 5 months ago and in 1.20 I see nothing wrong with the one I have, Do the newer versions fix performance issues?

    1. Admin

There is nothing wrong with using older versions of shaders, as long as they suit you and work fine. Unless there are new features in new versions that you want to use.

  5. legitjohnson8

When I click download it is a zip file. What do I do from there?
