Project Mario-Hand Drawn Resource Pack 1.7.10 / 1.6.4

Creating a Mario-inspired resource pack is not considered very creative. It is not something that has not been done before. Many resource packs were made around the same theme but the Project Mario Hand-Drawn resource pack is one of the first ones. Released close to a decade ago, it is still a fun resource pack that offers a nice twist to vanilla Minecraft. As the name states, the resource pack adds textures that are drawn manually by the creator. It is nothing short of impressive as many textures were changed. There are new textures for paintings with characters from the game, new textures for trees, plants, floor tiles, new water textures, and many more. There are a lot of new blocks that are made to be exactly like in the game. There are even new blocks that mimic the clouds in Mario games.

All these new textures and blocks make it possible to create worlds that resemble levels from Mario. Even mobs were changed to be the same as in the game and now you can find them in Minecraft using the Project Mario Hand-Drawn resource pack. The main menu and player GUI have also been changed. They are now more joyful. The main menu has yellow buttons with red spots while the crafting screen now has a light gray color. Lastly, another important change was done to player textures. Now, you can select a model that is inspired by Mario games or even play as Mario himself. The models are not very detailed as the textures are in 16x resolution. That is the default resolution of vanilla Minecraft. This translates into good game performance with no framerate drops.

Project Mario-Hand Drawn should be compatible with all of these Minecraft versions: 1.7.10 - 1.7.9 - 1.7.4 - 1.7 - 1.6.4 - 1.6.2
